Philítaly in Argentina
October 17-26, 2024
Starts in Buenos Aires and also visit Tigre, San Isidro and Mendoza.
Philítaly takes an excursion to Argentina! Much migration to Italy from Argentina, mostly occurring in the mid to late 1800s (wealthy Italians) and the 1920s (not so wealthy). We have planned a trip of a lifetime to not only meet Phil's family and friends there and to discover the wonders of the extraordinary country of Argentina. Although we will spend most of our time in the city of Buenos Aires, in the Recoleta area, we will also explore the regions of Mendoza and its beautiful wine country, and more! One domestic flight. You will experience the lifestyle of locals by visiting Phil's family and friends. This trip includes a Tango show with dinner and a private tour of Teatro Colón, as well as walking tours through unique neighborhoods of Buenos Aires, a city of 15 million inhabitants.

For example: Tigre Market is a vibrant hub of local culture and commerce. Here, visitors can wander through bustling stalls adorned with colorful handicrafts, artisanal goods, and traditional Argentine delicacies. From handwoven textiles and unique leather goods to exquisite pottery and souvenirs, the market offers a delightful array of treasures to explore. Amidst the lively atmosphere, the aroma of freshly prepared empanadas and other culinary delights fills the air, inviting visitors to indulge in authentic Argentine flavors. With its picturesque setting and eclectic offerings, the Tigre Market provides a captivating glimpse into the rich tapestry of Argentine culture and craftsmanship.
The Cathedral in San Isidro stands as a timeless emblem of faith and architectural splendor in the heart of this historic Argentine town. Surrounded by lush greenery and serene plazas, the cathedral's elegant facade and majestic spires beckon visitors to explore its sacred interiors. Stepping inside, visitors are greeted by soaring ceilings adorned with intricate frescoes, stained glass windows that bathe the sanctuary in a kaleidoscope of colors, and ornate altars embellished with fine craftsmanship. As a cherished landmark of San Isidro, the cathedral serves as a tranquil sanctuary for reflection and prayer amidst the bustling rhythms of everyday life. Whether admiring its architectural grandeur or seeking a moment of spiritual solace, the Cathedral in San Isidro offers a serene retreat for visitors to experience the timeless beauty and tranquility of Argentine religious heritage.
